The counter-current coarse sifter is used in mills and plants for processing rice, oats, barley, malt, millet, buckwheat, oilseeds and pulses as well as coffee beans, cocoa beans and other cereals.
The product falls through the centrally arranged inlet onto the height-adjustable dispersion cone and flows in a flat trajectory parabola over the circumference through the entire separating chamber. The product flow is determined by the height adjustment of the dispersion cone. By means of an air regulating device in the outlet socket of the aspiration connection of the counter-current coarse sifter, the respective air quantity can be adapted to the individual sifting process at any time.
It is mainly used to control the separation process, to remove dust and fine granules before the product is processed in the downstream process steps. The counter-current coarse sifter is available in two different sizes, each in the standard version made of mild steel as well as in stainless steel. A transparent cylinder which provides dust-tight enclosure of the working area allows visual control of the separating effect.
