The cylindrical whitening machine combines an intensive treatment of the product surface with a low percentage of broken grains. Via a feed screw, the product is fed into the working chamber of the machine where a cylindrical stone set on a hollow shaft is surrounded by a screen basket. The outlet of the working chamber is completed by a plate the counter-pressure of which can be variably adjusted by springs.
The product passes through this working chamber and is whitened by the cylindrical stone set. Depending on the set intensity, the surface is whitened more or less intensively and the adhering impurities are removed. The produced whitening bran is sucked off through the screen basket by means of a separate, laterally mounted aspiration connection. Air cools the product during the whitening process and at the same time facilitates the discharge of adhering whitening bran and dust particles.
Advantages of the cylindrical whitening machine:
- Gentle and uniform load
- Adjustable intensity
- User-friendly and easy to maintain
Depending on the product and the specific required qualities of the final product, various machines can be connected downstream of the cylindrical whitening machine. After the rice has been whitened, it is polished using the rice polishing machine. In legumes processing or whitening of wheat or rye, sizing with subsequent separation by air is possible. This is done using a circular screen and an aspiration channel.
